J.S. Argue & Associates Ltd. is an independent Canadian consulting company based in Victoria, British Columbia, founded and led by Jonathan Argue. The company provides senior-level business analysis and information technology consulting, and develops educational programs and software that make technology more accessible.

Our background

Jonathan brings more than 30 years of information technology experience: 18 years as a Business Analyst on a broad variety of consulting assignments, and 12 years in complementary roles including Project Manager and Team Lead, Systems Architect, Trainer, and Tester. This range means we can move comfortably between the business conversation and the technical detail — translating what stakeholders need into requirements a delivery team can build, and explaining technical trade-offs in terms decision-makers can act on.

What drives us

Good analysis prevents expensive mistakes. Most project trouble traces back to unclear requirements, unstated assumptions, or gaps between what the business meant and what the technical team built. Our practice is built around closing those gaps early — with careful listening, clear documentation, and honest communication about risk.

That same philosophy carries into our education work. Through "CACE for Kids" and "Tech for Kids," and through the Homeport application, we apply the same care to helping people learn and to building tools that are genuinely useful.
